We have spent our lives roaming the globe in search of the ultimate outdoor wilderness experiences, now we'd like to show you the adventure of a lifetime. Borderlands has pioneered the opening of many new and exciting locations in Nepal and Sri Lanka. These journeys of discovery and adventure, we believe offer the adventure seeker one of the finest experiences to be found anywhere.. from all of us, we welcome you to experience Borderlands.

Sri Lanka Operations

Wade Campbell is a Canadian native and has had extensive experience in outdoor adventure pursuits. He has delivered outdoor programs for twenty five years in various countries and has spent the last 18 years in business and travel throughout Asia. He is knowledgeable in the field of experimental education, adventure-based programs, marketing and tourism. Wade is a professional photographer with many of his photos used by both the Nepalese and Sri Lankan Tourism Boards to promote adventure tourism. He began his career in Outdoor Education with the Canadian Outward Bound Wildness School in 1984.

He is presently the Managing Director for the Borderland Sri Lanka

We believe diversity is the key; our facilitators range from teachers and musicians to corporate executives, all professionally trained, creating a staff dedicated to providing a safe environment together with a rewarding experience. Our instructors are educators, not guides. They are committed to inspiring participants to explore and develop their understanding of wilderness ethics, leadership, teamwork, natural history, and technical skills.

High adventure is our lifeblood so our people are highly motivated individuals who know the value of close personal attention and teamwork. Many combined years of corporate training experience in Nepal, the U.K., Canada, the U.S. and India help us bring to you an experience that will broaden your horizons and introduce a wealth of new ideas and approaches to your life.

		Dian		Dian is a patron for Borderlands. He is a successful entrepreneur, and the managing director of the largest intimate apparel producing company in the country. Recently he was recognized as the CEO of the year in Sri Lanka for 2004. Currently, he is the President of the National Boxing Federation of Sri Lanka.
		Sri Lankan

		Megh		Megh Ale is the Managing Director of our Nepal operations and is one of Nepal's leading figures in rafting. Having spent several years working and exploring the rivers and jungles of Nepal. Megh is always ready to share his deep understanding of Nepal and its myriad of cultures, plants and animals. He is the founder and president of the NRCT , Nepal River Conservation Trust and the Managing Director of Ultimate Descents Nepal.
		Nepali

		Viraj		Viraj is a Thomian and a graduate of the Ceylon Hotel School & School of Tourism. He had been in the hotel trade for 16 years as a professional chef after which he took into training and had been in the training field for the past 6 years. He has been certified as a First Aider from both the SLRCS and St. John's Ambulance Service. Viraj is a keen adventure lover. Presently working as the Training Manager for the company, Viraj had been actively involved in our corporate training programs.

		Sri Lankan

		Laxmi		Laxmi is a registered nurse by profession. Her passion for Adventure activities and community base nursing turned her in to an out door nurse. She overlooks the medical issues and manages the company's emergency procedures. Having lived in Hong-Kong, Nepal and Sri Lanka, she is comfortable from the metropolis of a big city, to the simplicity of a tent and brings a wide depth of experience to the programs.

		Nepali

		Kumar		Kumar is working as a Web and Graphic Designer for Borderlands; The concept of this website is by Kumar. He updates web sites and also works as the Video Editor for Borderlands. He things creatively and produce new ideas. He has professional qualifications in Graphics, 3D Animations, Video Editing and he also maintains our office computer and network systems. When time permits he also join us on our programs, captures all the moments spent by clients and get them into a video to recollect those memories. He is capable is producing his projects in tight situations as well.

		Indian

		Ramya		Ramya is working as a Secretary cum coordinator. All our mails and correspondence are managed by her. When time and duty permits she facilitates some of our programs which need to be conducted in Tamil. Her communication skill in all three languages helps us in our programs. She is also certified in First-Aid.

		Anoma		Anoma has been working as the accountant for Borderlands for the past year and manages all of the financial sectors.

		Thilak		Thilak is a young ardent member of the Borderlands team. Born in the town of Balapitiya Sri Lanka, he is a keen adventure doer. An experienced Boat-ride tour guide from down south, he joined hands with borderlands as a logistic team member and a safety kayaker for the rafting trips

		Mahesh		Mahesh is our capable driver who makes sure all our staff and equipment gets transported to different locations safely and in one piece. Whenever Mahesh is not driving, you will find him on a boat with the clients paddling down a river or Canyoning down water streams.

		Isuru		Isuru is our present Sales and Marketing Manager. When we found him, he was already in the field of marketing Outdoor Adventure Programmes. With his experience and keen affinity towards the field, he took to our team like a toad to water. Isuru will probably be one of the very few people in the Company who our clients will meet first.

		Ajith		Ajith is Working at the Colombo office, as an office assistant. His main duties are to undertake office maintenance, Banking and speed delivery to various other locations. He is a soft-spoken person with a good heart.

		Sameera		Sameera is a youth from Kithulgala, Sameera has joined the Borderlands team as an apprentice guide. He is grooming himself to be a Rafting guide apart from the other skills he is learning. Sameera completed his Basic First Aid course recently.

		Supun		Supun is Hailing from Kithulgala Supun joined Borderlands as an apprentice guide. He is grooming his kayaking skills to be a kayaking guide. Supun completed his Basic First Aid course recently.

		Maya		Mayalu our cutest trainer accompanies groups on programs. When not busy guarding and protecting the Borderlands office. Raised in Sri Lanka, she particularly loves the water and is an aspiring raft and kayak passenger. She brings friendliness and fun to the programs and loves working with people.
