Borderlands is excited to be offering for the first time in Sri Lanka the standard in Water Rescue, Rescue 3 NW. Borderland is an adventure based Travel Company which has been operating for the past ten years in Asia. With our public programs starting early 2006 on the island, Borderlands is conducting this program to insure that the local industry has the opportunity to access international certification, which will be vital to developing a safe and sustainable adventure tourism industry. |

| Objectives |
After successful completion of the program, participants should be able gain knowledge and skills needed for rescue & emergencies. |

It helps you deal with life-threatening situations in a manner which minimizes the danger to your own life

It enables rescuers to assess and respond to emergencies quickly and professionally.

It increases your value to the company or agency for which you work as a rescuer or guide.
The prerequisites are being in good physical condition, swimming ability and previous experience in rescue disciplines and/or whitewater boating experience.

This course meets the requirements of the NFPA 1670 Standard for Technical Rescue in water and rope and is certified by the International Rescue Instructors Association. This is a starting point for professional guides who wish to run white water rafting at a professional level. This program would be similar to PADI which is the standard in diving regulations. |

Course Fees :-
Batch #01- LKR 10000 per person, Sponsed by GTZ for 4 participants Batch #02 - 400 USD- which includes all course material- food- lodging (camping) registration with rescue three- certificate- badge. A DEPOSIT of $50. per participant is required to reserve your space in the course. Full payment is due 7 days before the course starting date.

This class is physically demanding, requires a swim test, along with passing both a written and third-party practical tests in order to receive your certification. Emphases are not only on Swiftwater rescue, but the skills required during the four distinct phases of a major flood event.
