Our Train the Trainers Programs focus on giving a team of leaders within a company the unique skills necessary to run in-house training courses for their organization. Borderlands will challenge and encourage your staff through feedback and reflection to develop judgment and sound operating practices.

Learn technical and practical skills to train your own team. Our programs are devised to give teams of trainers the necessary skills to plan, conduct and deliver high impact and effective in-house training programs. Trainers will learn how to use ice breaker and initiative games to facilitate their own effective in-house training.

Duration: 3 days, 2 nights (1/2 day in Colombo , plus a 2 day follow-up in Colombo)

At our Rock School for corporate teams learn the techniques to climb up a rock and belay a fellow climber safely. Borderlands’ professionally qualified instructors will teach you how to use and maintain your climbing equipment efficiently, the proper techniques in climbing and setting up a climbing route.

Rock School features a giant ladder which is hoisted 80 ft off the ground. It requires two climbers and two belayers and will test your ability to manage fear whilst trying to perform under stress and pressure. The objective of this activity is for two climbers to ascend this ladder with the each other’s support, physically and mentally. The climbers start climbing up a cargo net individually but the ascent gradually becomes harder and climbers need to offer each other support to get to the top.

Communication is vital. Clear instructions and vocal support from teammates on the ground will go a long way to ensure the climbers feel secure, safe and not to mention confident enough to scale the ladder. High rope events are great activities which help facilitate and understanding in the importance of team support and motivation. Our Rock School is located two and a half hours out of Colombo at the MIMT facility in Thulhiriya.

A one day program, offering a day of trekking, picnics and rafting at our Kithulgala Base Camp, followed by dinner, music and games round a campfire. The Borderlands Adventure Base in Kithulgala is an ideal facility to hosts staff outings. The Long House is situated right by the Kelani River and has a lounge area which can accommodate 50+ people comfortably. Groups can choose to do water activities such as White Water Rafting, Canyoning and Kayaking. The base has modern shower and toilet facilities as well as a bathing area by the river for those who wish to take a dip in the river. The kitchen team can cook up tasty local or western buffet style meals and for the evenings we can arrange BBQ’s as well as live music or a DJ can be brought in serious parties. Borderlands is an ideal location for a staff gathering where the emphasis is on rewarding your team with a great day filled with adventures and a fun party to end the day.
