Youth Leadership Programs

Borderlands offers 1-7 day Youth Leadership Programs for local and overseas International Schools children and young adults aged between 10 and 18 years old. Borderlands has been conducting Youth Leadership Programs for over 20 years for international schools.  We offer an exciting series of workshops and outdoor activities which are designed to challenge their outlook on what leadership means, how their own take on leadership can be adapted and used in different scenarios, and that leadership is not always about who can speak the loudest! Our program helps develop confidence outside of the classroom, enabling students to find unique abilities within themselves that they may not have imagined they possessed and encourages them to use these skills once they leave Borderlands. Focus is on self-expression and communication, personal leadership skills as well as leadership within a team, what it means to be a leader, and how the nature and style of leadership changes in different scenarios. It also enables students, regardless of background, experience or ability levels to get ahead

Our Youth Leadership Programs help develop both personal and inter-personal skills in a unique and safe learning environment, ensuring an experience that will both help broaden students’ educational base, and have an impact on them for many years to come.

Safety is our primary focus, the guides and instructors often meet the high expectations school have when picking a service provider.  Each of our activities in preceded with safety briefings and  our challenging activities are guaranteed to build trust, promote leadership abilities and team skills. Students will gain a better appreciation of Sri Lanka’s wildlife and natural environments, and will gain valuable climbing, camping and general outdoors skills.
